Valeriu Gheorghita says that approximately 800.000 children can be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 in Romania, a first important figure that shows us how many people can still be vaccinated, Romania having the necessary doses to cover this need as well.
Valeriu Gheorghita is talking here about children between the ages of 12 and 15, so not about those between the ages of 16 and 18, so it remains to be seen what interest there will be, especially since even here the consent of the parents is needed for vaccination.
"To understand, between 12 and 15 years old we are talking about 800.000 eligible people, it is not a very large number, so we can practically provide 1,6 million doses. We can ensure one hundred percent vaccination coverage. So, we have enough doses to ensure the vaccination of this age group, especially since we are not talking about a different dosage or a different schedule, the same type of vaccine can be used without any problem."
