Facebook Moves Audio Video Calls Functions to the Main Application

Facebook has decided to bring back to its main application the functions that allow us to make audio and video calls, and this after 7 years ago it decided to implement them in the Messenger application to increase the level of use for that, which was successful.

Facebook has already made the change in several countries around the world, including the USA, so that users are no longer obliged to use the Messenger application to make audio and video calls when they want to talk to other close people.

Facebook made a very good decision because this way people no longer have to switch between applications to make audio and video calls, but this will of course require a change in people's habits and a return to the main application.

"Facebook Inc. is bringing voice and video calling to its flagship social networking service, its latest attempt to streamline its communications features after ditching Messenger as a separate app in 2014.

Some users, including those in the US, will be able to make voice or video calls from the Facebook app starting Monday. The new feature is just a test, but it's meant to reduce the need to jump back and forth between Facebook's main app and its Messenger service, said Connor Hayes, director of product management at Messenger."
