The Romanian government, through INSP, published the weekly information on the evolution of infections throughout the country between August 16 and 22, and unfortunately the authorities confirm again that 80% of the infected people were not vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
The Romanian government also says that 95% of the deaths recorded during this period concerned people who were not vaccinated, while in the case of the remaining 5% it was about people vaccinated with only one dose, excluding Johnson & Johnson.
"In the week of August 16-22, 2021, 41.8% of all cases were registered in Bucharest, Cluj, Ilfov, Timiș and Constanta. 80.4% of the confirmed cases were recorded in unvaccinated persons. 29.7% of the total deaths were recorded in Călărași, Iași, Caras Severin, Constanta and Bucharest. 94.7% of the registered deaths were in unvaccinated people,
and 4.0% in people vaccinated with an incomplete schedule.
From the beginning of the pandemic until now: 1 out of 77 of the total cases a was registered with the medical staff. 86.1% of all deaths were in people over 60 and 57.5% of deaths were in men. 94.6% of deceased persons had at least one associated comorbidity."
