Valeriu Gheorghita: Harsh warning to Romanians in Wave 4

Valeriu Gheorghita sends a very harsh warning to Romanians all over the country in the midst of wave 4 of infections generated by the Coronavirus, and this is because the issue of falsifying vaccination certificates by doctors and ordinary people is brought into shameful discussion.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that this situation shames us all over Europe, but also that the MAI has started to look much more closely at these cases and combat the phenomenon throughout the country, more actions to identify and stop those issuing false certificates being done in the last weeks.

"We are very concerned, and not just worried, we are saddened by this situation because it is absolutely shameful, from my point of view, for the medical body that participates in such fraudulent actions and that encourages such actions.

Just today I had a discussion with Mr. Minister Lucian Bode related to this topic and I can guarantee that at the moment all the competent structures are involved both in identifying those who have and do such practices, but also in the ongoing investigations , so that those who participated in such activities receive their due punishment.

From my point of view, tolerance towards such activities is zero and I think that if those who do not understand at the moment the seriousness of the situation, because it is not only a medical one, that the person in question is putting his life in danger, it is also one that it does nothing but discredit Romania in general, worldwide and in Europe, it greatly discredits the medical body and all the effort made by our colleagues during this pandemic for almost two years.

And, more than that, we must understand that the vaccination strategy was adopted not only by government decision, but also in the Supreme Council of Defense of the Country. So, vaccination in Romania is a national security issue. And if anyone has not understood this until today, they have a big problem.

We must understand that we cannot play with things that seriously affect people's health and seriously affect Romania's credibility on the international level. This is unacceptable, especially when it comes from a medical staff."
