The Romanian government published today the latest figures regarding the evolution of deaths caused by COVID in the last week, so we can get an idea of how things unfolded throughout the country.
"COVID-19 - INSP report: 88.4% of the deaths recorded in the week of November 22 - 28 were among unvaccinated people
In the week of November 22 – 28, 2021, 70.5% of confirmed cases were registered in unvaccinated people;
88.4% of the registered deaths were among unvaccinated people.
From the beginning of the pandemic until now:
- 1 out of 102 of the total cases was registered with medical personnel.
- 85.8% of all deaths were in people over 60 and 54.8% of deaths were in men.
- 93.2% of deceased persons had at least one associated comorbidity.
We must protect vulnerable people!
Only through responsibility can we return to normality!
The simplest and most accessible method by which we can defeat the virus remains vaccination.
By vaccination against COVID-19:
- the risk of infection is reduced;
- the risk of virus transmission is reduced;
- the risk of hospitalization is considerably reduced;
- the risk of death is considerably reduced."
