WhatsApp is starting to warn some of the users with iPhone and Android phones around the world about a very important change that it is imposing on them during this period, and it is one that will be imposed globally. More precisely, a few weeks ago, WhatsApp implemented a limitation in the beta version of the application for Android, based on which the resending of messages through groups was limited to only one group.
WhatsApp seems to think that this test is being carried out with great success, so it has now decided to extend this limitation to the beta version of the application for iPhone phones, something that was expected. WhatsApp displays this notification only when we resend a message received from someone in a group, and we try to resend that message to another group, the limitation being imposed for very serious reasons by the company. Of course, we can copy and publish that message in any groups we want, but we can't resend it because of this limitation that WhatsApp imposes, and everything is imposed in iPhone and Android because of the problems with misinformation.
WhatsApp decided that the best solution to limit the spread of false information within its platform should be based on limiting the resending of messages both to other people and to information groups. This measure seems to have had an effect since 2020, when it was imposed for ordinary people, and now it is extended to groups, WhatsApp trying to eliminate false information that reaches everyone.
WhatsApp is testing this functionality now with the beta versions of the iPhone and Android applications, but it will definitely be implemented in the public versions of the applications when everything is 100% ready for it.
