The WHO has made a request to take urgent measures at the level of all countries around the world, and this is because the director general of the international body talks about the fact that it is a fundamental right for billions of people to have access to quality medical services, regardless in which area of the globe they are, if they are rich or poor.
The WHO says that no matter what kind of condition people around the world suffer from, it is necessary for them to have access to quality medical services to be treated properly, and they are all the more important in the Coronavirus pandemic, with access to testing and extremely necessary treatment for millions of people around the world.
The WHO claims that access to public health medical services should be a fundamental human right, not a privilege, and here it mainly refers to countries in Africa, where access to medical health services is not universally offered, and the Corona virus pandemic has deepened the major differences between people even more.
The WHO has been making requests like this for years, and years, days, the director general of the organization trying to bring more equity to developing countries when it comes to access to medical services, but it is hard to say to what extent and managed to convince the world to financially support the development of large-scale medical services in disadvantaged areas of the world.
Access to life-saving prevention tools, testing & treatment – whether for #HIV, # COVID19 or #monkeypox – too often relies on chance: your birthplace, skin color, gender, how much you earn. Health shouldn't be a privilege, it's a human right. #AIDS2022 pic.twitter.com/hjpy3OHuXi
