greenpois0n RC5 for Windows is finally available, I know that many of you were waiting for the new version and here you have the opportunity to use it. By and large, the jailbreak procedure is identical to that for Mac, so if you have read the article for Mac then you should not have any problems in jailbreaking. If you managed to activate after jailbreak, please leave a comment.
As far as I know, this version of greenpois0n does NOT activate the terminal either, so I will teach you how to do it yourself, but that will involve performing 2 jailbreaks.
You must have iOS 4.2.1 to do this jailbreak, it does not work on old versions of iOS. If you need an unlock, wait for a new version of PwnageTool to come out, do not update to iOS 4.2.1 because you will update the baseband and you will lose the possibility to unlock!
You can apply this jailbreak over one already done with redsn0w. You can NOT apply this jailbreak to one made with the Monte aka redsn0w 0.9.7 jailbreak, that is the untethered jailbreak solution from the Dev Team.
You can apply this jailbreak even if you have baseband 06.15.00. This jailbreak does not affect the baseband, does not update it, does not unlock it.
If you have an iPhone 4 and you need an unlock, then you can update to iOS 4.2.1 without updating the baseband if you follow this tutorial.

Before starting the jailbreak process read here.
Step 1
Connect the terminal to the computer using a USB cable.
Step 2
Download greenpois0n rc6 from here: Windows, Mac OS X.
Step 3
If you need to activate the terminal then you must first jailbreak using redsn0w, you have the tutorial here. After jailbreak with redsn0w you will have a tethered jailbreak. Follow the steps below to make your device untethered.
Step 4
Open greenpois0n and prepare to put the terminal in DFU Mode. Press the button jailbreak from greenpois0n and he will start a reverse numbering of 5 seconds until you have to actually press the button. The device must be unlocked or locked to do the following steps:
- hold down the Lock button for 3 seconds;
- while holding down the Lock button, press the Home button and keep both pressed for another 10 seconds;
- let go of the Lock button and keep pressing only Home until greenpois0n recognizes the terminal and starts the jailbreak process.
Step 5
After the process is finished, the phone will reset, enter the system and on the homescreen you will see a green application called Loader.
Step 6
Enter Loader, install Cydia and that's it, you have untethered jailbreak on your terminal and Cydia installed. If you can't install Cydia with Loader then use redsn0w to install.
Bugs:
I had a tethered jailbreak with redsn0w, I untethered with greenpois0n downloaded now, the Loader application does not appear. In this case, install Cydia with ultrasn0w.
