Interview with the young man sued by Apple for selling conversion kits for the white iPhone 4

I got you yesterday said that Apple sued the young man who sold conversion kits for the white iPhone 4. Apple then motivated its decision by the fact that those kits were found to be components of the stolen iPhone 4 and the kits themselves affected the way the company's brand is perceived by customers. Together with the request to be sued, Apple also submitted a request to withdraw from the action, a sign that it reached an agreement with the family of the young man who sold the respective conversion kits.

Q: When did you first find out about the lawsuit? Did Apple call or send a letter?
A: I came back from school today and saw your email. lol

Q: So have your parents mostly been handling the case then?
A: I told Apple's lawyer that I'm sick and to meet when I get better. That was last week. I'm [sic] been handling the whole thing

Q: So you haven't settled?
A: I think that will be decided in the meeting.

The interesting part of this story only now comes because in a intervened given to Fast Company magazine, the young salesman claims that he knows absolutely nothing about the lawsuit filed by those from Apple. He claims that he has not reached any agreement with Apple and that he does not have a lawyer to represent him in this dispute. He claims that he did not make $130.000 from sales as was speculated in the press and that he does not currently have enough money to hire a lawyer. He goes on to say that he will talk to Apple's lawyers to reach an agreement to end the dispute.

In the end, it seems that Apple started and stopped a process that probably shouldn't even have reached an American court. The young man will probably have to pay Apple's lawyers' fees or a small sum for the inconvenience caused to Apple's legal team.
