SmartCover is an accessory for iPad 2 that attaches to the tablet using a series of magnets but which also allows closing the tablet screen using the interaction between a series of magnets implemented in the tablet and a series of magnets in the accessory. Although Apple had not declared at the conference that there could be applications that interact with the SmartCover case, here is that Evernote made a new application called Evernote Peek which is able to detect when the SmartCover case opens the screen of our tablet. This version of the application is dedicated to those who study and allows users to add certain clues for predefined questions plus certain answers to those questions. When you lift the bottom part of the SmartCover you will see the clue, when you lift the middle part you have the answer to the question.
Evernote Peek is the first Smart Cover learning app. Connect Peek to your Evernote account and brush up on a language, practice for a quiz or test your trivia knowledge, all by simply peeking under the Smart Cover.
The idea of Evernote is very interesting and it will certainly not be the last application of this kind in the App Store. iDevices offer developers the opportunity to develop such interesting applications that interact not only with the devices themselves but also with the accessories, and I hope that for SmartCover, other much more interesting things will appear.
