Logitech launches a new keyboard and joystick for iPad 2

Logitech is one of the largest manufacturers of accessories in the world and this year the company seems to be focused on launching some interesting products dedicated to iDevices. Today we will we are talking about 2 of them: a keyboard and a joystick and in the image above we have a demonstration of how the keyboard works. Notice that the device splits right in the middle and theoretically it should allow a much easier text entry and at first glance the concept seems to be borrowed from iOS 5 where Apple introduced a smaller keyboard, which we can divide into 2 pieces and which we can position anywhere on the screen. The keyboard works via Bluetooth, has batteries that only need to be changed once every few weeks and closes itself if it is disconnected. The keyboard will cost $130 and will be available from Logitech in the fall.

The Logitech joystick attaches to the tablet screen right where a virtual button should be and provides the user with some feedback during the game. The idea is similar to the one implemented by the company flinging a few months ago, but it is good to have more options regarding this kind of accessories. Logitech joysticks will be available from September at the price of $20.
