Apple released iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S!

I told you this evening that Apple is about to launch iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S in order to solve the 3G and battery autonomy problems, and this happened a few minutes ago. Although the first beta version of iOS 6.1.1 was launched for all iDevices compatible with iOS 6, here is that this version of the operating system arrives in a first phase only on the iPhone 4S. If you did jailbreak cu evasi0n and you have updated the package, the update will not be displayed in the Settings application, but it is advisable not to apply it through iTunes, because you may not be able to jailbreak, although this seems unlikely.

This update fixes an issue that could impact cellular performance and reliability for iPhone 4S.

You can download iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S following this link. Regarding iOS 6.1.1 for the rest of the iDevices, Apple announces that it will change the numbering of the operating system version in a new beta version and will include the changes made in the one released a few dozen minutes ago.

iOS 6.1.1 beta will be renamed to a different version with the next developer release and will include the fixes included in the public release of iOS 6.1.1 in addition to the improvements to Maps for Japan.

UPDATED: The evasi0n jailbreak solution works on iOS 6.1.1, Evad3rs releasing a new version that recognizes this ipsw.

UPDATE 2: Here you find evasi0n 1.3 which jailbreaks iOS 6.1.1 but only for iPhone 4S.
