Apple will preserve a century-old building present at the Apple Campus 2 location

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has been building for over 1 year Apple Campus 2 in Cupertino to host tens of thousands of employees. The construction works of the ultra-modern campus are designed in such a way as to preserve a building over 100 years old that is present in the location of the new buildings, Apple trying to keep a part of the community's history intact.

Glendenning Barn is a barn present in the location for over a century being visible in a series of pictures recorded many years ago, but also in official documents. The construction teams hired by Apple have completely disassembled the barn and will reassemble it after the completion of Apple Campus 2 exactly in the form it was in before the initiation of the construction process.

The land on which it is built Apple Campus 2 it was owned by the Glendenning family until it was sold to an investment fund, which then sold it to HP. In 2010, those from HP closed the campus built there and sold the land to Apple, now Apple Campus 2 has been erected in its place.

Apple has a habit of preserving historical buildings or monuments even when building Apple Stores, so actions of this kind are not atypical.
