Watchdog Pro – advanced multitasking for iOS 8

Watchdog ProWatchdog Pro is the professional version of the tweak Watchdog which he presented to you a few weeks ago when we told you that he brings true multitasking to the iOS 8 operating system installed in our iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches.

According to the developer Watchdog Pro, the tweak has three main working modes that define how the applications work when they are closed in the background, they are: Smart Background, Prevent Termination si Keep in Foreground.

Smart Background automatically deactivates the functionality of an application when it is closed in the background, Prevent Termination keeps some functions of the applications active if their developers have implemented the Apple APIs for them, while Keep in Foreground keeps the application running in the background as if it were opened in the main menu.

Watchdog Pro is the first fully fledged backgrounding manager tweak for iOS 8. Watchdog Pro Introduces three new backgrounding behaviors: Smart Background, Prevent Suspension, Keep in Foreground. Smart Background forces applications to suspend as soon as they enter the background allowing for improved battery life. Prevent Suspension allows applications that support native backgrounding to run in the background indefinitely. Keep in Foreground allows applications that do not support native backgrounding to run in the background as if they were currently in use by the user.

Function Keep in Foreground it is the one that offers true multitasking for our applications regardless of whether they have iOS APIs for such functionality, and with its help we can benefit from the functionality of any application even if it is still open in the background.

Watchdog Pro is a tweak which brings real multitasking in iOS 8, and if you are interested in it, you can buy it for $3 from the BigBoss repo of Cydia.
