Pangu reveals three vulnerabilities for iOS 8.4.1

Pangu TeamPangu is the hacker team that has so far launched a series of solutions jailbreak for iOS 7 or iOS 8, and during this evening one of its members published three vulnerabilities of iOS 8.4.1 which could also be used for a jailbreak solution.

Two of these vulnerabilities are known including by the Apple company and were resolved in the beta versions iOS 9, so we are not talking about anything other than the publication of technical explanations for iOS 8 security issues.

Those from Pangu announced a few months ago that they intend to develop a solution for 9 iOS jailbreak for users from all over the world and we can expect it to be launched this fall, but for now no one knows when it might actually be available.

When auditing the iOS kernel executable, we found that the code quality ofcom.apple.driver.AppleHDQGasGaugeControl is very bad. In this blog, we will disclose 3 vulnerabilities in this kernel extension on the latest public iOS (version 8.4.1). More importantly, one of these bugs is a perfect heap overflow vulnerability that allows us to defeat all kernel mitigations and gain code execution in the kernel, just by exploiting this single vulnerability.

If you are interested in finding out information about the existing vulnerabilities in the iOS 8 operating system, then I recommend you to read the information published by the hackers because you might discover a variety of interesting information in them.
