Facebook launches new functions for the iOS application

Facebook Apple Music SpotifyFacebook updated the application this evening dedicated to terminals iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and it seems that he has implemented some new functions in it, although nothing is mentioned in the list of title changes.

The new function implemented by the Facebook company for its application is called Music Stories and we are talking about a new format for posts, it allows the quick sharing of songs or music albums from Apple Music or Spotify.

Based on these user posts Facebook they will be able to listen to a 30-second preview of songs shared by their friends, album covers and various animations implemented by Facebook to enhance this functionality.

Separate from promoting songs or albums from Apple Music si Spotify, those from Facebook say that all this content can be bought directly from the application or saved as a favorite in the iTunes Store, Spotify or Music applications from iOS, Music Stories being limited only to these two services for now.

On the Facebook iPhone app, songs and albums shared from the leading music services will become "Music Stories," a new post format which allows people to listen to a 30-second preview of the shared song (or album) while on Facebook. The preview is streamed from either Apple Music or Spotify (depending on the source of the link shared), and can be purchased from or saved to the respective music streaming service.

The sharing of this type of content is done by taking the link to a song or album from the Music, iTunes Store or Spotify applications and pasting it into the post interface of the Facebook application, so we are not talking about a very easy process for users.

In the morning I told you that Facebook currently has over 1 billion daily active users starting this summer, over 8 billion views for video clips are also generated daily in the social network after forcing users to watch videos.
