In general, the terminals newly launched on the market do not benefit from half-price discounts from the day they are available for pre-order, but those from Samsung have a different strategy in an attempt to generate substantial sales for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
How successful this strategy will be remains to be seen, but promotions like this dilute the image of a premium terminal that a company is trying to create for a device presented just a day ago.
