Phablets are starting to replace tablets for internet browsing

Phablets are starting to replace tablets for internet browsing, and this trend was to be expected since Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), launched smartphones with 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens during 2014, they being one of the main development engines of this trend.

If 2-3 years ago tablets were the main devices used to browse the Internet, led by the iPad tablet, in 2016 things change and phablets take their place because their large screens offer a decent experience for browsing Internet.

iPad tablets generated by far the highest Internet traffic for this type of product, and a change in the preferences of Apple fans with the preference for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S changed the trend in the industry, increasing the rate of Internet browsing on phablets .

The truth is that if you have an iPhone 6S Plus, you don't really have many reasons to buy an iPad tablet unless you don't need a laptop and do tasks on the tablet that require a 9.7 inch screen, in the rest of the cases owning a tablets not being necessary.

There was a time when tablet browsing surpassed smartphone browsing, and that trajectory was expected to continue. Since then, however, browsing growth by these devices has decreased significantly, and we think this is mainly because smartphone screens are getting bigger. Now, instead of buying both a smartphone and a tablet, people are opting for 'phablets' and relying on just this one device—with a larger screen—for all of their browsing.

The purchase of the iPhone 6 Plus motivated me to give up the iPad, more than a year ago and at the moment I can't find any relevant reason to buy the tablet from Apple and I'm sure that many people are in exactly the same situation.

The world is changing, phablets are replacing tablets for surfing the Internet and the Apple company has seriously contributed to this change.
