iOS 10 iCloud allows prioritizing application downloads

In iOS 10, iCloud has an important improvement for reinstalling a backup in the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, so that users can choose to prioritize the installation of certain applications in favor of others existing in the backup, the image below being very suggestive.

Basically, after you have restored your terminal and you choose to use a backup of iCloud, you will be able to use 3D Touch to choose certain applications to be installed with priority over others, iOS 10 bringing them to the top of the list for downloads and installations from backup.

The idea itself is not very complicated, and the functionality exists only for iDevices that have 3D Touch because we are talking about a shortcut that was implemented by the Apple company, and only the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus currently have 3D Touch that to benefit from the system.

At the moment, iOS 9 allows stopping the download of certain applications so that others can be installed before them, but this new system implemented in iOS 10 for iCloud does not block any download, but only prioritizes the download of certain applications to the detriment of other existing ones.

iOS 10 iCloud download prioritization

The new function offered by the Apple company for iCloud in iOS 10 is not revolutionary, but it is very useful because we can choose for certain applications from a backup to be available before others in our terminals, so we will not have to wait for the operating system to go through the normal installation procedure.
