Samsung will disable defective Galaxy Note 7 units

Samsung will remotely disable all Galaxy Note 7 units that have built-in defective batteries, to an unprecedented extent.

The Samsung company "put the ashes on its head" in the latest scandal in the smartphone world and recognized the fact that the terminals Galaxy Note 7 they have exploding batteries. The Koreans replace all units with problems free of charge, so all customers who bought such a terminal will benefit from a new one, free of charge and without problems.

However, if there will be people who do not want to replace their defective units, Samsung has a plan to "convince" them to protect their lives and property. Specifically, it seems that Samsung intends to disable all faulty Galaxy Note 7 terminals starting on September 30, so no user of such a device will be able to use their terminal.

All operating systems for mobile terminals have a so-called "kill switch", i.e. a function that allows the manufacturer to completely block the terminal, so that it can no longer be used. Samsung will use this system, I think for the first time in its history, with the idea of forcing customers to protect their lives and assets that could be affected by the Galaxy Note 7.

The information comes, apparently, from a customer who would have discussed with a representative of the Samsung company, so it is not confirmed by the Korean company. Even so, I think there are quite small chances that Samsung will not use such a system, considering that its use would benefit the customers.

What do you think, is Samsung doing something good by deactivating all Galaxy Note 7 terminals with problems?
