Facebook Messenger recommends conversation topics

Facebook Messenger has a function called Conversation Topics that recommends conversation topics based on the actions of our friends.

Facebook Messenger is preparing the launch of a new function for users from all over the world, it is called Conversation Topics and recommending topics of conversation with friends. The new function is displayed in the applications of some of the Facebook Messenger users, and in the image below you can see how it looks after accessing the application.

Considering that we are talking about a test done on a small number of users, those from Facebook are currently displaying a limited amount of information regarding the topics of conversation. More precisely, Facebook Messenger displays the last locations visited by friends, the songs recently listened to by them or even the events they intend to attend.

Basically, by function Conversation Topics, those at Facebook use information regarding our daily activity to recommend conversation topics. All data is based on information that we have already shared through the Facebook social network, so we are not talking about any invasion of our privacy.

Despite this, the Facebook company displays information about us to our friends even if they have seen it before when we published it, but only if it is public. Theoretically, statuses that are not public should not appear in this section of Facebook Messenger, but we will learn more after the function is officially launched.

For now, it is not known when the new function for Facebook Messenger will be officially launched, but probably through a new update of the application, it will be available.
