OnePlus 5 – 8GB RAM to compete with iPhone 8

OnePlus 5 is going to be launched this year on global markets, and according to some information that appeared during this day, the new smartphone could have 8 GB of RAM. We are talking about double the amount of RAM implemented in the Samsung Galaxy S8, almost triple that of the iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 8, but with only 2 GB more RAM than the one already available in the OnePlus 3T.

The jump to 8 GB of RAM is made in the OnePlus 5 because, probably, the manufacturers feel that more RAM is needed to be able to surpass the iPhone in terms of performance. The iPhone 7 Plus surpassed the OnePlus 3T without any right of appeal in terms of performance and the first tests show the exact same thing as the Samsung Galaxy S8, so the OnePlus 5 should come with something better than its predecessors.

OnePlus 5 will have a Snapdragon 835 chip integrated by ceid e at OnePlus, it comes bundled with an Adreno 540 graphics card, and the 8 GB of RAM should also support the new resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The main problem with Android now is keeping applications open in the background if their number is large, the iPhone 7 Plus managing without any problem in this regard.

With 8 GB of RAM, OnePlus 5 could solve this problem and could be the king of smartphones in terms of performance, and it will also have a price of less than 500 dollars. Having better performance than top smartphones and a lower selling price, OnePlus 5 could seriously affect the sales of Apple and Samsung in the coming year.
