OnePlus 5 is HUMILIATED by iPhone 7 Plus in Performance

The OnePlus 5 is humiliated in a new performance test by the iPhone 7 Plus, the result being a completely surprising one for the new smartphone.

OnePlus 5 appears today in a new performance test in which it fights with the iPhone 7 Plus, and although in a previous test it passed, it shows us what are the weak points of this smartphone. In the first part of the test, you can see that the OnePlus 5 is humiliated in terms of performance by the iPhone 7 Plus, the Apple smartphone finishing the test 1 minute before the Chinese smartphone.

Yes, you read that right, the OnePlus 5 finished the test 1 minute behind the iPhone 7 Plus and is practically reduced to the same level as the Samsung Galaxy S8, or other Android smartphones. Considering that an initial test put the OnePlus 5 ahead of the iPhone 7 Plus, now you're probably wondering what will happen differently if the smartphone finishes behind Apple's smartphone.

Well, the answer is very simple, because the OnePlus 5 has problems when it comes to accessing data from the internal storage space and when it comes to video processing. You will see in the video clip below that in accessing and importing a picture in the Photoshop application, the OnePlus 5 has problems and makes the task more difficult, but when exporting the video clip it has even bigger problems.

OnePlus 5 is HUMILIATED by iPhone 7 Plus in terms of performance

Why the OnePlus 5 has these problems when it should come with UFS 2.1 storage space is hard to say, but it seems that somewhere, something is not working very well. If this test for data processing had not been done, the OnePlus 5 would have easily surpassed the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of performance, as it happens in the rest of the applications opened on the two terminals.

However, the daily use of a OnePlus 5 or iPhone 7 Plus also involves recording or editing photos and videos, and this is where the Chinese smartphone fails. The difference of 1 minute between the final results of this performance test shows us that those 8 GB of RAM in the OnePlus 5 are somewhat useless for these tasks, although they are good for keeping applications open in the background.

The test also proves that the iPhone 7 Plus is a complete package, while the OnePlus 5 tries to do a little bit of everything, but nothing great, as expected. This problem is still a universal one for Android, because even the Samsung Galaxy S8 does not do better in similar conditions, so the OnePlus 5 is not the only Android smartphone that has such problems.

Having said that, if OnePlus 5 users want to use the terminals for anything significant, they will be very satisfied, but if they want to edit a picture or a video clip, they may realize that praise has no place for performance.
