iPhone X – Estimated Release Stocks

The iPhone X has surprisingly high inventories estimated for the September launch, but they won't be enough to cover market demand.

iPhone X has the stocks estimated for the November release by analysts, who seem to be confident that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will have many units available for its customers. Specifically, Asian analysts believe that Apple will have approximately 12 million units of the iPhone X available for the November 3 launch, a surprisingly high number, considering the production problems.

iPhone X would have already had 2 million units manufactured by Foxconn until this day in September, and production would increase to 10 million units in October. With 12 million units of the iPhone X available for launch, those from Apple should cover the demand on the market quite satisfactorily, even if people are a bit shy to buy the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus now.

iPhone X available in 12 million units for the launch would have higher sales than the iPhone 7 series during the launch weekend, and combined with those of the iPhone 8 series, would set an absolute record for Apple. It is possible that the iPhone 8 series sold 5-8 million units worldwide during the launch weekend, less than the iPhone 7 series, but that's because iPhone X is on everyone's mind.

iPhone X – Estimated Release Stocks

iPhone X was produced in September in several tens of thousands of units per day by the Foxconn company, and production should increase up to 10 times in October. Those from Apple intend to produce iPhone X in very large quantities because the launch of iPhone 8 made them understand that the world wants more expensive phones, and the technical specifications for them seem to have already been finalized.

The iPhone X has been certified for sale in China and this means that Apple has already established all the technical specifications, although previous information suggested the exact opposite. Well, if iPhone X was already produced in 2 million units in September, it is clear that the specifications were finalized even before the presentation, the phone being anyway sent to the Chinese authorities more than a week ago.

"He said that he expected mass production of iPhone X in the second week of October and that handsets would begin to leave China for global distribution a week later. Foxconn churned out 2 million units of iPhone X in September, and in October that number should rise to 10 million. He said that Foxconn would have assembled a total of 40 million iPhone X handsets by year-end.

The iPhone X will be available in limited quantities all over the world when it is launched, and that either Apple will not have 12 million units ready, or it will have them, but the demand will be higher. Apple has never managed to cover the demand for a top iPhone at the time of launch, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus being second-rate this year, and with the iPhone X we can expect Apple stores to be surrounded by queues again.
