iPhone 8 – The first case of Swollen Battery

iPhone 8 has the first case of a swollen battery reported by an Apple customer, this being the first reported in the US.

iPhone 8 has the first case of a swollen battery reported directly from the US by an employee of, probably, an Apple Store, this being the first case of any problem of this kind reported in the US. In the past there were other iPhone models that had swollen batteries for US customers, but this is the first case where an iPhone 8 series phone has such a case reported in the US by someone.

The iPhone 8 has not been presented so far as having problems with batteries that swell and crack the phone case, but it's not just the iPhone 8 Plus that seems to have these problems. This would be the 8th case, if I'm not mistaken, in which a phone from the iPhone 8 series has problems with a swollen battery that cracks the case, but details on how everything was discovered are not yet offered.

iPhone 8 swollen battery

iPhone 8 Plus had problems with swollen batteries either after charging or during transport to customers, but in this situation it is not known exactly what happened, unfortunately. It is possible that this iPhone 8 was left with a swollen battery after being charged by the user, but no additional details are provided by the person who published the picture and we probably won't find out anything additional from him soon.

iPhone 8 – first case of swollen battery reported

The iPhone 8 Plus has the problem of swollen batteries investigated by the Apple company to find out the cause of this problem that still affects very few users. Considering that now we are seeing for the first time an iPhone 8 with a swollen battery, it is possible that there are other cases that have not been reported by Apple customers, or by the press, until now.

The iPhone 8 was the model that seemed to be free of problems with swollen batteries, but if the batteries used come from the same manufacturer as in the case of the iPhone 8 Plus, then it is normal for problems to occur. The Apple company has not provided any information regarding the potential source of its battery problems, so we can only speculate what exactly generates the swelling of these batteries.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are still safe, because so far no phone has exploded after the battery swelled, in contrast to what happened last year with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 series. Apple still managed to make iPhone 8 phones and iPhone 8 Plus which are safe and can be used by users without fear of any explosion.
