Telekom Banking – Banking Services at Telekom

Telekom Banking is the newest digital bank in Romania, representing a partnership between Telekom and Alior Bank for clients in our country.

Telekom Banking is a digital bank launched by Telekom Romania in partnership with Alior Bank, the mobile phone operator following the initiatives of Romanian competitors. Telekom Banking was announced today by Telekom and we are talking about limited banking services offered by the operator and the bank within an extremely ambitious financial project for our country.

Telekom Banking is a completely digital project, so there will be no branches for this Telekom Romania bank, nor dedicated ATMs. Alior Bank is the largest bank in Poland, but in partnership with Telekom Banking it will offer its backend services for the Telekom Romania operator, and customers will be able to withdraw money from any ATM in the country and abroad.

"Telekom Banking is being launched gradually, starting with two modern and easy-to-use pillars - daily (primary) banking operations and a new solution on the Romanian market, the Online Currency Exchange platform. Thus, through Telekom Banking, customers can open their current accounts in RON, EUR, USD and GBP, can attach debit cards to these accounts and have 24/7 access to funds.”

Telekom Banking will allow customers to manage online the accounts they will have within the platform, so they will see there all the transactions made using the cards, and not only that. Telekom Banking will have services gradually launched by Telekom Romania, and one of them will be available for the first time, this being an online currency exchange service, which does not exist on our market for now.
