Samsung Galaxy S9 – New Processor Introduced

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has the new Exynos 9810 processor officially announced by the Samsung company, which will be demonstrated at CES 2018 by the Koreans.

Samsung Galaxy S9 has today the new processor presented even by the Samsung company, the Koreans keeping their word and telling the whole world what they are going to offer in the next series of phones. Samsung Galaxy S9 officially announced today the new Exynos 9810 chip that will be included in the future series of phones, it contains the processor that the company wants to use.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have a 9810 chip and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the Samsung company going to combine both in the phones it wants to sell globally. The new 9810 chip that will arrive in the Samsung Galaxy S9 is produced using a 10nm manufacturing process, just like the model used in the Samsung Galaxy S8 series, so we are not talking about a major upgrade here.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will still have a 9810 chip produced with the second generation of the manufacturing process, and this means improved performance and reduced energy consumption. The new chip for the Samsung Galaxy S9 benefits from better processors and an improved graphics chip, the RAM memory used will also have better performance, along with a better performing modem.

Samsung Galaxy S9 has officially announced the new processor

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is going to allow internet browsing at speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps for customers, but for now the exact specifications regarding the processor and RAM are not known. We are most likely talking about a 9810 chip for the Samsung Galaxy S9 which also has an 8-core processor, which must be at least as powerful as the one in the iPhone X to equal it in the synthetic tests.

"Exynos 9 Series 9810 The Exynos 9 Series 9810 is Samsung's latest flagship processor, with 3rd-generation custom CPU cores, upgraded GPU, and gigabit LTE modem with industry-first 6CA support. It is built on 2nd generation 10nm process technology.”

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have a 9810 chip whose performance will be equal to that of the Snapdragon 845 chip because different performance cannot be offered for the two components. Samsung is obliged to offer the same performance for all Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus models, no matter what kind of chip they have, and this will bring the same experience for customers, theoretically.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 was supposed to have a 9810 chip produced using an 8nm manufacturing process, but Samsung thinks things completely differently and intends to offer something else. We will only find out if the Samsung Galaxy S9 will perform better than the iPhone X in the first part of next year, as the phone will go into production in December to be released much earlier than its predecessor, to the surprise of many.
