Acer Swift 7 is the thinnest laptop in the world at the moment and we are talking about an ultrabook that surpasses even Apple's MacBooks in case thickness. According to the manufacturers, the Acer Swift 7 has a thickness of only 8.98mm for its casing, 50mm smaller than that of the MacBook 12 inch, Apple's thinnest laptop.
Acer Swift 7 has this reported thickness for the entire surface of its case, while in the case of MacBooks we are talking about a thickness between 30 mm and 13.5 mm for the 12 inch MacBook. The realization of those from Acer still comes with some compromises for the Acer Swift 7, because the specifications are not impressive.
Acer Swift 7 has Intel i7 processors of the 7th generation, so not the Coffee Lake ones, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB PCIe SSD being integrated together with a 14-inch screen with 1080p resolution. The interesting part is that the Acer Swift 7 has integrated 4G connectivity, so using a SIM card it can be easily connected to the Internet for browsing anywhere and anytime.
Acer Swift 7 still has another big problem, brought by the very reduced thickness, because the selling price for this laptop is 1700 dollars, higher than for Macs. With such a selling price for the Acer Swift 7, it is very clear that few people will choose it, despite the reduced thickness, and this is because at this price anyone can buy a much better MacBook Pro.
