Apple will Allow iPhone Performance Limiting to be DISABLED

Apple announced today that it will allow you to disable iPhone performance limitation through a new feature that will be offered in an iOS update.

Apple DISABLE iPhone Performance Limitations

Tim Cook, the company's president Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, announced today that next month a new version of iOS will bring a feature that will allow you to disable it limiting iPhone performance due to the degradation of the battery used in phones. The president of the Apple company announced that the new function will be available in a beta version that will be tested by developers, following that the final version of the operating system will offer it to everyone.

iOS 11.2.5 it will most likely be the update that will bring this new function, as it is not yet available in the phones iPhone which have limited performance, but will definitely appear soon. The disclosure was made by Tim Cook in an interview that took place at ABC News, the president of Cupertino finally seems to show that in his company people have understood why iPhone customers complain.

Tim Cook says that deactivating this limitation will have the effect of possible sudden shutdowns of the phones, as happened before the limitation was imposed, so people who have old iPhones must know the risks to which they are exposed. Of course, these problems only appeared when it was cold outside, not in any kind of usage conditions, so many will probably want to disable the function to have good performance.

Apple will allow you to DISABLE iPhone performance limitation

Apple will implement in iOS 11.2.5, most likely, not only this function to disable the performance limitation of the iPhone battery, but also new information regarding the "health state" of the iPhone battery. Based on this information, those from Apple will try to provide customers with a complete picture of the battery situation and the reasons why the performance of iPhone phones is actually limited.

"Early in 2018, we will issue an iOS software update with new features that give users more visibility into the health of their iPhone's battery, so they can see for themselves if its condition is affecting performance. So we want to do that, and in the situation... and we will tell someone we're reducing your performance by some amount in order not to have an unexpected restart. And if you don't want it, you can turn it off. Now we don't recommend it, because we think people's iPhones are really important to them, and you never can tell when something is so urgent. Our actions were all in service of the user. I can't stress that enough."

The implementation of this new function in iOS for iPhone will represent a compliance with the wishes of many users, including some open lawsuits against the Apple company requesting this. Of course, the change will not stop open lawsuits against Apple, but the measure is thought to be one intended to be presented in court as a desire of the Apple company to solve customer problems and return things to normal.

If iOS 11.2.5, or any other version that will include this new functionality, will be released in beta version in February by those from Apple, then the public version should reach us somewhere around March. The Apple company does not seem to be in a hurry to offer this function for customers, although I don't really see what would be so much to test with it, but the good part is that we will eventually have a function that will return things to normal.
