LG is getting ready to try to become relevant again in the smartphone space with a stunning phone that directly attacks what they do Huawei si Samsung at the moment, and the initiative is worthy of praise. More precisely, the people from LG are currently developing a new foldable phone, the first smart phone in the history of the company, and it will be based on the same principles as those of the competitors, that is, a flexible screen, not two glued together.

In July, LG was at the center of rumors without much "substance" regarding the launch of a foldable phone, but now the subject is back in the world's attention after we have an official confirmation from the Koreans regarding the development of the foldable phone. LG refused to provide more details beyond actually confirming that it is developing a foldable phone at the moment, but stated that it is in no rush to bring this model to market, at least not yet.

LG claims that it would have done some market studies to find out if people would be interested in buying such a phone, and its fans are not too sure that they would like to have something like this in their hands. In this context, it is interesting to know if Huawei or Samsung have done market studies of this kind, since they have foldable phones in very advanced stages of the development process, the Koreans are even preparing to launch it, in contrast to LG.

"LG has told us that it is working on foldable phones, and has been for a few years already. But LG has also stressed that it is not aiming to be first to market with a foldable phone, instead it wants to create something that users actually want."

LG will wait to see how successful the Samsung GALAXY X and the new foldable phone from Huawei will be, and only then will it decide, most likely, to what extent it is appropriate to launch a foldable phone. Those from Apple have in mind an idea quite similar to that of LG, but these are not the only companies that do not know to what extent foldable phones are worth launching, so it remains to be seen what all these companies will decide in the end regarding prepared products.
