NASA WARNING for a HUGE ASTEROID Approaching

NASA has issued a very important warning for an asteroid of impressive size that is approaching the Earth at a very high speed, here is what we need to know.

nasa warning asteroid approaching

NASA issued a new very serious warning for a very large asteroid that is currently approaching Earth at a speed of over 48.000 KM/h. 2019 UR2 is the name of this asteroid that is coming at a very high speed close to the Earth at the moment, and NASA issued the warning because of the diameter of 220 meters that would have caused extremely large damages if it had hit the Earth's surface.

NASA still says that this asteroid will not hit the Earth, but that it will pass approximately 4.2 million kilometers from our planet, but even so, they are considered very dangerous due to their very large dimensions. In general, those from NASA issue warnings for any kind of asteroid that has such large dimensions, but that can reach a distance that is not considered 100% safe, and this is because the trajectory can be changed at any time.

NASA WARNING for a HUGE ASTEROID Approaching

NASA issued the warning so that everyone knows that a very large asteroid will come close to the Earth, if we keep the proportions of the universe, and this even if there is no danger. By comparison, the distance reached by this asteroid in relation to the Earth is more than 10 times greater than that between the Earth and the Moon, but NASA is obliged to issue alerts so that all earthlings are aware of what is happening.

NASA is also preparing a protection system against asteroids, the American space agency wanting to test it sometime around 2022, two years before sending the first people to the Moon, including the first woman. NASA is working together with ESA to protect the Earth, so that whatever kind of asteroid comes in the next decades, we can rest assured that it will not hit the planet to cause destruction.

NASA must complete this system by 2028, when it is estimated that a very large asteroid would hit the Earth, and the damage could be extremely high.
