The Coronavirus pandemic has reached such a serious threshold in Romania that the authorities have decided to postpone the application of new relaxations starting on July 1, and are considering new restrictions in areas where protective measures are not respected, especially at the sea and in the mountains.
The number of cured people fluctuates and unfortunately sometimes it is lower than the number of infected people, while the number of those hospitalized in intensive care is constantly increasing, as is the number of deaths, which is an extremely big problem.
The week started with a decrease in the number of new infections with the new Coronavirus, but that does not mean that we got over the very difficult period of last week, when we had over 400 new cases every day, and we should not think that the number of infections it will miraculously decrease.
We must continue to be very careful, to be very careful, to protect ourselves, because the decrease in the number of infections with the new Coronavirus depends to a very large extent only on us, so we must be extremely vigilant.
"Until today, June 30, on the territory of Romania, 26.970 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 20.141 were discharged, of which 19.050 cured patients and 1.091 asymptomatic patients, discharged 10 days after detection.

To date, 1.651 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.
Between 29.06.2020 (10:00) and 30.06.2020 (10:00) 17 deaths (12 men and 5 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Argeș, Bistrița-Năsăud, Cluj, Harghita, Bucharest, Neamț, Prahova, Suceava, Teleorman and Vrancea.
Of these, 1 death was fully registered in the age category 50-59 years, 4 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 9 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 3 deaths in people over 80 years old.
16 of the deaths are of patients who had comorbidities. No comorbidities were reported for 1 death.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 388 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 205 patients are admitted to the ATI.
On the territory of Romania, there are 890 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 61.840 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.
Up to this date, at the national level, 710.112 tests have been processed.
In the last 24 hours, 453 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.710 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 388 contraventional sanctions, worth 293.000 lei.
Also, yesterday, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.
At the same time, on June 29 of this year, 28 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 4.795 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2.075 in Germany, 97 in Great Britain , 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Sweden. From the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) until this moment, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US and one in Brazil, have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 72 were declared cured: 50 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
