DSU The new mobile intensive care unit bought in Romania

DSU, the Department for Emergency Situations, announced today the acquisition of another mobile unit for intensive therapy, and thus reached 5 such units throughout the country, the previous 4 being already located and used by the authorities already.

DSU managed to buy this mobile intensive care unit with the help of the Mereu Prabo Foundation, the other mobile units being bought with the help of donations made by large companies that exist in Romania, but also by many Romanians.

"A new important stage in increasing the resilience of the national emergency system has been completed these days with the purchase of a new mobile intensive care unit that will join the other 4 in the endowment of the national civil protection reserve purchased with the support of civil society and the business environment .

Thus, the Always Almost Foundation, in partnership with the SMURD Foundation, purchased the 5th mobile intensive care unit that will serve, like the other 4, a hospital in Romania whose capacity to take on critical patients is exceeded.

We remind you that the implementation of the project "Increasing the resilience of the national emergency system in case of pandemics and disasters" was possible with the help of Lidl Romania, Rompetrol, the Romanian Red Cross, @FundatiaMereuAproape.

The necessary medical equipment, meaning 12 intensive care monitors and 12 consoles with 6 injection machines for each bed, will be purchased by the Mereu Trabo Foundation, the ventilators will be provided by the Romanian Government through the purchases made by ONAC.

At the end of this emergency situation, generated by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the 5 mobile therapies, together with the related medical equipment, will enter the disaster response reserve of the IGSU - General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Romania, offering an advantage strategically for Romania in the face of any type of calamity."
