UBER imposes a new very important change for drivers and customers who make trips through the ridesharing platform, here's what's happening.

UBER makes a very important new change for the races that its customers can make from all over the world, and this in the conditions where there is increasing pressure on the company, but also on the drivers, or customers. Those from UBER not long ago introduced an obligation for drivers and passengers to wear a mask during their journeys, some of them being obliged to take a selfie with a mask on their face before that journey begins.

UBER now extends this obligation together with a function that allows drivers and customers to report if any of them does not fulfill this obligation during a trip made through the platform. UBER says that if a person is reported, before making the next ride, they must take a picture of themselves with a mask on their face to be able to initiate an order and be picked up by a driver, or to pick up an order from a customer.

UBER it also allows both drivers and customers to cancel a ride without penalty if either party is not wearing a face mask at the time of the meeting, which is an extremely good idea. UBER has done over 100 million checks in the US for the proper wearing of the mask among both drivers and passengers, and this only during the period when the system was in a beta testing phase, before the launch.

UBER will launch the system in the USA and Canada until the end of September, and then expand its availability worldwide until the end of the year, so the change will also reach Romania during 2020. UBER takes this measure because in a car there are chances very high risk of infection with the new Coronavirus if you drive with the windows closed and the passengers do not have a mask, the risk decreasing if both wear a mask and there are two open windows, to facilitate the flow of air.

UBER wants to keep both drivers and customers safe, and this to be able to continue offering ridesharing services for people who are still willing to use this system to travel, even during the Coronavirus pandemic.
