The Ministry of Health announced a record number of patients admitted to intensive care at the moment, in the most recent report on the number of infections registered in Romania, it was revealed that 1531 people are admitted to intensive care units in the country.
The Ministry of Health has practically reached the maximum capacity of intensive therapy beds available in the country, the figure being almost 1600, that is, almost half of the total of those existing in the country for patients with any diseases that need intensive therapy.
"In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13.500. Of these, 1.531 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 6.978.229 RT-PCR tests and 709.625 rapid antigenic tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 14.964 RT-PCR tests (7.395 based on case definition and medical protocol and 7.569 on request) and 5.743 rapid antigen tests were performed.
Also, since the last information provided by GCS, the results of 607 RT-PCR tests, processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until April 11, were also reported"
