The Ministry of Health stated today that 87% of new infections in Romania are registered in unvaccinated people, while 91% of deaths are registered in the same category, and this should show us how important vaccination is to stop the pandemic.
The Ministry of Health says that wave 4 will affect unvaccinated people to the greatest extent, and this is because without adequate protection, people cannot be safe from infection in the coming months, as the daily number of infections will increase.
"When we say that wave 4 is of the unvaccinated, we mean who will be more affected by this wave 4, and unvaccinated people have a much, much higher risk of developing forms of illness that require hospitalization or there is a much higher risk of death high in those people who are unvaccinated.
Looking at what happened in the last four weeks in Romania, we notice that 87% of the new cases, even if there were not so many, are of the unvaccinated. 87% of new infections were in unvaccinated people and 91% of deaths occurred in unvaccinated people, so I think there should be no doubt that the vaccinated will be protected, the unvaccinated are still at risk."
