Foxconn has replaced half of its employees with robots

If you will not be satisfied with the way the iPhone 7 was assembled, well, you won't necessarily be able to blame a Chinese because Foxconn has replaced half of its employees with robots, the latter being faster in assembling smartphones than at Apple.

According to a Chinese publication, the change in Foxconn's labor force began in 2014, after the release of the iPhone 6, with the Taiwanese Foxconn saving large amounts of money with robots that can work 24 hours a day to assemble iphone terminals.

From 2014 until now, 500 companies in the Dongguan region have invested over 630 million dollars to replace the human workforce with robots to assemble various electronic products for sale around the world.

The Chinese government financed part of these investments, although they put many employees out of work, but we are talking about a trend that will not stop soon, considering the money saved by companies through these changes.

The Foxconn factory has reduced its employee strength from 110,000 to 50,000, thanks to the introduction of robots. It has tasted success in reducing labor costs.

The transition from human labor to robots was anticipated as early as 2014 by many Chinese publications, and now we learn how much has been invested for robots to produce the future iPhone terminals or other electronic products, in much larger quantities than so far.
