A man was electrocuted after sleeping near an iPhone

A man from Huntsville Alabama had a nightmare morning on March 22, when he was electrocuted by the charger of his iPhone terminal. According to the man, the charger cable came out of the iPhone during the night and the electrocution occurred after a chain belonging to the man touched the charging end.

It seems that this contact between the metals generated the transfer of electricity, the man being thrown from the bed to the floor in just a few moments. Trying to break the chain from his neck, the man got 2nd and XNUMXrd degree burns both on his hand and on his neck, but he was very lucky because he survived this unfortunate accident.

A niece of the man heard his screams and reached him in the room, at that point the man stated that he was close to fainting due to the very strong shock. Arriving at the hospital, the man was told by the doctors that he was lucky because he risked being killed by the electric current transmitted from the socket to his neck through the charger and chain.

In this situation, we are not talking about a defect in the iPhone, but about the fault of the user, who chose to lie down next to a charging terminal at that moment. Although the cases in which the charger comes out of the iPhone accidentally are rare, there are situations in which the accidents could turn out to be fatal, but due to the fault of the user.

Considering all this, you must be very careful when you sleep next to the iPhone terminals left while charging. This is the second recent case of electrocution involving an iPhone, but which was caused by the fault of the user, the previous one involving a man who wanted to tried the iPhone while taking a bath.

"Like so many others, he had grown used to keeping his phone with him in bed, via an extension cord, as it charged overnight. The next morning, Day woke up and rolled over. As he did so, a dog-tag necklace that he was wearing happened to catch on the exposed prongs of the charger head, which had come loose from the extension cord. The metal chain suddenly became a conductor for the electricity — and it traveled straight to Day's neck."
