iPhone XS – First Details about the New Processor

The iPhone XS has the first details about the processor revealed, the name and some of the major changes being contracted by the Apple company.

iPhone XS is the future model of the iPhone that the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will launch it on the market next year, and according to some information that appeared today, the Americans have already chosen the manufacturer of the processor. We are talking about a processor that will be included in an A12 chip that will go into production at the TSMC company during 2018, it will be manufactured exclusively for the iPhone XS by the Taiwanese.

The iPhone XS will be a very important smartphone for Apple in 2018, and the new A12 chip will be produced using a 7nm manufacturing process, compared to the A11 Bionic, also produced at 11nm by TSMC. Those from TSMC manage to stay ahead of Samsung in terms of the production of processors for Apple, and the iPhone XS will mark a new year in which TSMC has exclusivity.

The iPhone XS will be released in the fall of 2018, so the new A12 chip will go into production somewhere around the end of summer, as usually happens with those from TSMC. For the new A12 chip, those from TSMC will use a new technology with ultraviolet rays, allowing the creation of a processor with more transistors, so the iPhone XS will have much better performance and greater autonomy.

iPhone XS – the first details about the new processor

iPhone XS will bring many billions of dollars for the TSMC company and with the new A12 chip, this being the third processor that the company produces exclusively for those from Apple. We are talking about a collaboration that Apple relies on and that will help develop a high-performance chip for the iPhone XS, those manufactured by Samsung having problems in the past.

"Both Apple and Qualcomm are among TSMC's major customers, with the foundry house contracted to manufacture all the A12 processor chips for the 2018 new-generation iPhone devices, according to industry sources. To extend its technological lead over Samsung, TSMC will incorporate the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) technology into its 7nm+ process and step up deployments in the 5nm and 3nm processes.”

The iPhone XS has very little chance of bringing major improvements in terms of phone design, but the internal components will be seriously improved by Apple this year. The new A12 chip could bring a substantial increase in performance for the iPhone XS compared to the iPhone X, and this will certainly increase the advantage over Android mobile phones.

The iPhone XS is in development at the moment and should hit the market sometime in September, but we'll surely learn a lot of its secrets by then. From the processor to the screen, or iOS 12, many of the new features of the iPhone XS will be revealed in the coming months, so it will be interesting to see what we will discover until then.
