Windows 10. The Microsoft company continues to impress with the functions it prepares for users from all over the world, and today we are talking about something that few people expected until now. More precisely, the Microsoft company launched two new extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox in Windows 10 that are based on Windows Defender, and allow users to surf the Internet more safely than until now.

Windows 10. Until now, only Microsoft Edge benefits from Windows Defender protection, but these two extensions tested at the moment in beta version can also be installed on Google Chrome and Firefox. Microsoft created this functionality for those who use Windows 10 in companies, and have a list of secure websites, those outside it being first analyzed by Windows Defender in Edge, then allowing access, and this now also reaches Google Chrome or Firefox.

Windows 10. Microsoft has LAUNCHED a MAJOR New Feature

Windows 10. Released in beta version, the extensions protect everyone, and alert people when they access a potentially dangerous website, so they will know to stay away from it. If a website considered malicious is accessed, it will be opened in a secure instance of Edge, so that Windows 10 is not affected by any viruses or any malware that exists on that website, protection being extremely important for the company.

When users navigate to a site, the extension checks the URL against a list of trusted sites defined by enterprise administrators. If the site is determined to be untrusted, the user is redirected to an isolated Microsoft Edge session. In the isolated Microsoft Edge session, the user can freely navigate to any site that has not been explicitly defined as trusted by their organization without any risk to the rest of the system. With our upcoming dynamic switching capability, if the user tries to go to a trusted site while in an isolated Microsoft Edge session, the user is taken back to the default browser.

Windows 10. For those who do not know what Windows Defender is, well we are talking about a kind of antivirus integrated by the Microsoft company in computers, it offers a moderate level of protection for people. It's not as useful as an antivirus in the true sense of the word, but if you don't want to use one for Windows 10, then Windows Defender can be a compromise solution, even if not very good for everyone.

Windows 10. For now, these extensions are tested in beta version by those who are part of the Windows Insider system, so it is not known when it will reach the final version for everyone.
