Here is the FIRST Country with 1 MILLION Users of 5G

The first country with 1 million users of 5G networks shows us how eager people are to try the technologies of the future as soon as possible.

country 1 million 5G users

5G it is the future, surely you have heard this at least once by now, and in a very important country on the globe this is perfectly true, because there are many users of the technology. More precisely, in South Korea there are currently no less than 1 million users of this technology of the future, all in just 69 days after the launch of the networks, the figure being reached much earlier than in the case of the 4G launch.

It seems that in South Korea people are extremely eager to benefit from everything that 5G technology can offer them, so that after three operators simultaneously launched their networks, customers rushed to use their services. SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus are the three mobile phone networks in South Korea that launched 5G services at the beginning of April, and there the speeds exceed 1 Gbps in the tests done so far.

FIRST Country with 1 MILLION Users of 5G

After the launch of the networks, 17.000 people activated their 5G mobile subscriptions daily, for a total of 260.000 people in April alone, but that was just the beginning. If in the case of 4G it took 80 days to reach the number of 1 million users, in the case of 5G it took 11 days less, a sign that people are even more willing to test the latest technologies on various devices electronics.

South Korea already has one million 5G subscribers, reaching the milestone in just 69 days – outpacing the adoption of 4G. In early May, it was revealed that the three networks had amassed a combined 260,000 subscribers, with 17,000 people signing up a day. By way of comparison, it took 80 days after the launch of 4G to reach the one million mark.

If things continue at the same pace, it is estimated that no less than 4 million users of 5G networks will gather in South Korea by the end of 2019, which would represent an impressive achievement. More than 54.000 5G stations have been placed throughout the country, 85 cities will be covered by the end of the year, so people will be able to enjoy high speeds for data transfer almost anywhere they travel.

South Korea is one of the countries where people are eager to use new technologies, so the situation there is somewhat atypical, because in Western countries the adoption rate will not be as high.
