Digi Mobil surcharge

Digi Mobil. The mobile phone operator made an extremely important announcement today that affects all customers in Romania, and you must know this, especially since the holiday season has already started. More precisely, those from Digi Mobil announced that on Monday they were approved by ANCOM for the extension of the surcharge for the roaming services they provide for customers traveling in the European Economic Area.

Digi Mobil. For more than a year, the operator has been overcharging for the roaming services that its customers benefit from, and this is because its subscriptions are very cheap, and they cannot cover this traffic. The surcharges that Digi Mobil applies to customers traveling in roaming, starting from July 1, 2019, are lower than those applied until June 30, 2019, so the final costs will also be lower.

Digi Mobile. Very IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT for ALL Romanian Customers

Digi Mobil. Based on the decision given by ANCOM, the customers of the mobile phone operator owned by RCS & RDS will pay 0,0187 Euro/minute (without VAT) for phone calls compared to 0,0208 Euro/minute until now. For calls received by Digi Mobil customers, the rates will be reduced to 0,0085 Euro/minute (without VAT) from 0,0091 Euro/minute until June 30, 2019.

The National Authority for Administration and Regulation (ANCOM) authorized, on Monday, July 1, 2019, RCS & RDS SA to continue to apply, for the next 12 months, the surcharge for roaming services provided to its customers in the European Economic Area (EEA). The rates applied in the next 12 months are lower than those applied until the end of June 2019.

Digi Mobil. In the case of internet traffic, the tariff is reduced from 2,97 Euro/GB (0,00297 Euro/MB) to 2,20 Euro/GB (0,00220 Euro/MB) without VAT, and customers will be able to consume more traffic, finally. Digi Mobil has very low prices for its subscriptions, which are unlimited anyway, and it cannot cover unlimited traffic for phone calls or internet for customers traveling through Europe, so it needs to be overcharged.

Digi Mobil. The subscriptions and cards that the operator has are subject to reasonable usage limits, and when they are reached, customers will pay additional costs for what they consume, so be careful what you do when roaming.
