Google Chrome. NEW STRICT Rules IMPOSED by Google

Google Chrome. New strict rules are imposed by the Google company for its browser, here's what users will have after they come into force.

Google Chrome rules

Google Chrome. A series of very strict new rules are to be imposed for the most popular browser on the planet, the Google company preparing important changes, intended to protect users from problems. We are talking about the implementation of changes that should make using Google Chrome much simpler, with a much better experience for everyone, the extensions being the ones that will have changes.

Google Chrome. Starting from October will be imposed two new strict rules for extensions that are made for the browser, and this will reduce their access to the data stored in people's computers. First of all, extension developers will have to request access via Google Chrome only to the data absolutely necessary for the operation of their software, without being able to read information that is not useful to them in any way.

Google Chrome. The second rule is that extensions that have access to people's personal data must have special pages that explain very clearly how they control this data after it is accessed. October 15th is the date after which extensions that do not respect these two rules will no longer be accepted in the online store through which they are distributed to Google Chrome users worldwide at the moment.

Google Chrome. Browser extensions have often been at the center of heated discussions regarding the data they have access to, and what they do with them, and Google wants to solve this problem as quickly as possible for everyone. Of course, it will take some time for the extension developers for Google Chrome to make the good changes that everyone is asking for, so it is possible that some will disappear after October 15, at least temporarily.

Google Chrome. Unfortunately, there is no other solution for solving the major problems that extensions have, and we can only hope that the one chosen now will bear the expected fruits.
