Planet Mars: NASA's first STUNNING ANNOUNCEMENT about Astronaut "Homes".

The planet Mars has the first announcement from NASA regarding the structures that will host the astronauts who will step there for the first time, and on the Moon.

Planet Mars is the next big goal of those from NASA after people will reach the Moon again, and sometime after 2030 it is expected that the first people will step on the body so far from the Earth. After they get there, the astronauts will have to live in something, and today NASA made the first statements regarding the "houses" that those who will make their first visit to Mars will have, and the announcement is truly astonishing.

Planet Mars it is very far from Earth, and transporting materials to build buildings there is extremely difficult, so NASA is thinking of cultivating the future "homes" of astronauts. One of the projects that NASA is developing now to host the astronauts who will arrive on the planet Mars is based on the cultivation of fungi and mycelia that will grow long enough to allow the accommodation of people and their instruments.

Planet Mars it does not have such organisms there, so the astronauts would have to bring from Earth structures that have fungi and mycelia, and when they get there they would water them to grow and develop into large structures. NASA is convinced that fungi and mycelia can provide enough protection on the planet Mars, or even on the Moon, for astronauts in the absence of resistant buildings that can be built in such remote areas.

"At the moment, traditional Mars habitat designs are like a turtle - carrying our houses on our backs - a reliable plan, but with enormous energy costs. Instead, we can harness the mycelium to grow these habitats ourselves when we get there. Mycelial materials, already commercially produced, are known insulators, flame retardant and do not produce toxic gases."

Planet Mars it cannot be colonized only with fungi and mycelia, so NASA combines them with other materials to reproduce, to a certain extent, some of the construction materials that exist on Earth. Transporting ordinary construction materials would be impossible, but these genetically modified organic elements would be much easier to transport and would allow the creation of structures strong enough to support life on Mars.

Planet Mars it is not yet fully known to those from NASA, so this project is still far from being considered safe and permanent, so it remains to be seen what will happen with it in the end.
