The number of infections with the new Coronavirus continues to increase in Romania, and today's and tomorrow's figures are very important because they will determine the type of relaxations that the authorities in Romania will approve starting on June 1, if there will be any.

The number of cures after infection with the new Coronavirus is also increasing, exceeding 65%, and this despite the fact that there are more and more people who are in intensive care, the big problem in this global pandemic.

"Until today, May 28, on the territory of Romania, 18.791 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 12.629 were declared cured and discharged.

The number of confirmed cases, by county, according to the reporting of the National Institute of Public Health:

At the same time, so far, 1229 people diagnosed with infection with COVID-19, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galati, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Calarasi, Maramureș, Olt and Ilfov, they died.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 197 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 182 patients are admitted to the ATI.

On the territory of Romania, there are 3.712 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 89.787 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Up to this date, at the national level, 410.000 tests have been processed.

In the last 24 hours, 418 calls were made to the single emergency number 112 and 1.296 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 214 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 181.250 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 2 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

At the same time, on May 27, 119 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
