Telekom Free and unlimited connectivity for a school

Telekom announced today that it offers free internet and WiFi equipment to 172 teachers and students from a commune in Suceava, with all the details below.

"Telekom Romania continues its mission to keep "Romania Connected" and offers unlimited free connectivity and WiFi equipment to 172 students and teachers of the general school in the village of Găinești, Slatina commune (Suceava county).

Telekom joined the humanitarian campaign "Children give their hands for education", organized by Olga Gudynn International School, through which students from disadvantaged backgrounds are helped to continue their studies remotely, by donating the materials necessary for internet connectivity.

"The right to education is guaranteed by the Constitution, and this field is a priority for Telekom Romania. Since March, we have helped approximately 500.000 students to continue their courses remotely, offering them both free access to the Adservio educational management platform and cards with unlimited 4G internet. We hope that the donated connectivity services will help the children and teachers in Găinești to continue their studies, and soon to return to school, to build a better future", said Ovidiu Ghiman, Segment Commercial Executive Director Business of Telekom Romania.

"We initiated the Children lend their hand for education campaign out of the desire to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to online education. Also, such a campaign is a good opportunity for all students to understand and learn through concrete actions the principle of solidarity, from the youngest ages.
We are honored to have in Telekom Romania an action partner, to lend a helping hand to the Romanian authorities in their mission to help children from villages have access to a modern education, adapted to the world in which we live. This campaign is about children, friendship, the power of togetherness and a Romania of solidarity! All children, regardless of their background, have the right to hope and dream of a better future in their country," said Olga Gudynn, the founder of the school and kindergarten with the same name."
