Black Hole: INCREDIBLE First Observed by Astronomers

The black hole observed by astronomers generated an incredible first that amazed the researchers who carefully study the universe.

The coronal black hole

The black hole it is still an object shrouded in many mysteries for astronomers who look very carefully at the starry sky, and now they have announced a new incredible premiere. Astronomers observed something in the universe that didn't seem possible, more precisely, they saw how the crown of a black hole disappeared, and then reappeared, all without any initial explanation, although those from MIT tried to offer some information about this.

The black hole with the name 1ES 1927+654 amazed the researchers after the glow emitted by the corona faded, but everything could be related to a star that moves very quickly through the universe. The corona that a black hole has changes up to 100 times as it "swallows" various objects in its vicinity, and although here we are talking about an X-ray light visible at 300 million light-years of Earth, its disappearance surprised astronomers.

Black Hole: INCREDIBLE First Observed by Astronomers

The black hole called 1ES 1927+654 recorded a 10.000-fold decrease in the brightness of its corona in just one year, which normally has not happened before, or at least has not been observed. More impressive was that the luminosity changed by a factor of 100 in just 8 hours, and astronomers have never seen anything like this for a black hole, the luminosity of these coronas usually changing in millions of years, not less than 10.000 times in just one year.

"Normally, we don't see variations like this in supermassive black holes. It was so strange that at first we thought maybe there was something wrong with the data. When I saw that it was real, it was very exciting. But I had no idea what I was dealing with; no one I spoke to had seen anything like it. This seems to be the first time we've ever seen a crown disappear, but then it also rebuilds and we're watching it in real time."

The black hole however, it did not have the crown made to disappear in any way, but only hidden after it would have swallowed a star that would have generated a cloud of particles so dense that its brightness was temporarily hidden. The situation is unprecedented for researchers, but this is how we learn more and more about the black hole, an object in the universe that is almost impossible to research, but which is extremely important for the evolution of the universe itself.

The black hole from the center of the Milky Way galaxy has never gone through a situation like this, and most likely will not, since it is so close to us.
