Vaccination against the Coronavirus is also available for young people between the ages of 12 and 19, and the Romanian authorities show us below which of them were most interested in being immunized in recent months in order to be protected.
Young people between the ages of 16 and 17 were vaccinated in the largest number, almost half of all those aged between 12 and 19 vaccinated so far against the Coronavirus, being part of the previously mentioned age group.
"I participated today, together with Prime Minister Florin Cîţu and doctor Valeriu Gheorghiță, at the meeting at the Victoria Palace, during which we discussed the benefits of vaccination among young people. I am glad that the representatives of the Ministry of Education, those of UNICEF Romania, of the National Council of Students and those of the National Federation of Parents' Associations are with us in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Today's discussions have been constructive and will help us develop a plan to get students back to school safely. It was an atypical year, but vaccination will help us in the future to reduce the risks regarding infections with the new coronavirus.
It is gratifying that students know a lot about this virus, and 45,5% of them think it is very important and important to get vaccinated.
‼️The latest figures show us that almost 100.000 children in the 12-17 age group have already been vaccinated against covid.
12 – 15 – There are 15.761 children between the ages of 12 and 15 who received the first dose of vaccine, and 49 went through the vaccination and booster centers.
16 – 17 – From the 16-17 age group, 46.459 people received dose 1, and 37.562 did the full scheme.
18 – 19 – Teenagers in the 18-19 age group were vaccinated in a slightly higher proportion. 78.765 people took the first dose, and 64.207 also took the booster.
We are open to all proposals and will continue to discuss with our partners how we can organize ourselves so that the anti-covid vaccine reaches all corners of the country.
