Planet Mars: INCREDIBLE Discovery Made for Mankind

Planet Mars erosion

The planet Mars is again at the center of an incredible discovery that was made for all of humanity, and this comes to show us that slowly, little by little, we continue to learn more of the mysteries there. More precisely, scientists finally managed to discover what exactly contributed to the formation of certain valleys on the planet Mars where at one point there were rivers that crossed them for very long distances, but which dried up over time.

The planet Mars is currently a huge desert that the robots sent by the space agencies charge to explore, but not only on the surface, but also under it, to see what was hidden there a few million years ago. Scientists now say that at one point the planet Mars had an abundance of water on its surface, and many of the valleys that we now see dry had a lot of water on the surface, creating their current shape.

Planet Mars: INCREDIBLE Discovery Made for Mankind

The planet Mars has experienced a modeling of its valleys in much shorter periods of time than those required for this process to take place on Earth, at least according to scientists. They say that on the planet Mars, the shaping of these valleys by rivers took place in just a few weeks, instead of thousands of years, everything being a real surprise for those who managed to make this really impressive discovery now.

"If we think about how sediments moved across the ancient Martian landscape, lake-burst floods were a really important process globally. And that's a bit of a surprising result because they've been thought of as one-off anomalies for so long."

The planet Mars would have experienced significant floods that created valleys through which some of the rivers passed, part of the water "escaping" from the craters left after the impact with various cosmic objects. All the analyzes now done by scientists lead directly to the conclusion that on the planet Mars water played an extremely important role in the formation of the relief forms that we see today, but in the meantime everything disappeared without a trace.

The planet Mars will be explored for at least a few more decades, scientists being extremely interested in finding out as much as possible of what is hiding there, especially since they already have so many robots on the surface.
