iOS 9 – quality, smaller applications, Trusted Wi-Fi and support for iPhone 4S

iOS 9iOS 9 will be focused on quality, smaller apps, Trusted Wi-Fi and support for iPhone 4S, or other old Apple products that are still compatible with the iOS 8 operating system. The information comes from sources inside Apple and it seems that not only iOS 9 will be focused on quality, OS X 10.11 will receive the same attention from Apple, at least in terms of user experience.

I knew since February that iOS 9 will be more stable and with fewer problems, and this information is confirmed again now, OS X 10.11 going to offer Mac owners a very good user experience. Apart from these, the Apple company intends to motivate developers to use its new programming language Swift to produce smaller applications, a new function called Trusted Wi-Fi is also in development.

iOS 9 – quality and stability

iOS 9 will offer the best iOS user experience, or at least that's what Apple engineers are trying to offer, convincing their bosses that they should pay more attention to solving problems than implementing new features. In this idea, both iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 will have smaller news lists than we were used to, solving problems and improving stability being the main "worries" of those from Cupertino.

Despite this, I have already learned about the new iOS 9 font, application iOS 9 Home, changes for iOS 9 Apple Maps si the system for viewing two applications on the same screen of iPad tablets. Apart from these important news, it seems that we will not have many additional major changes, and probably many will be disappointed.

OS X 10.11 – troubleshooting

For OS X 10.11, Apple pays the same increased attention to solving existing problems and not to implementing major functions, so don't expect many changes. Even so, Apple will make small changes to the interface in order to complete the changes started in OS X Yosemite, the new San Francisco font being one of the novelties offered.

iOS 9 Trusted Wi-Fi, Rootless and iCloud Drive

iOS 9 Trusted Wi-Fi is one of the new functions of the operating system, but it seems that this will not be available from the fall itself, but somewhere towards the end of this year. Trusted Wi-FI will allow us to connect iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Macs to authorized wireless routers without entering any password, while unknown terminals will have much better secured connections.

iOS 9 Rootless is a new security system considered to be extremely important, it is thought to prevent malware from taking control of the iOs and OS X operating systems. Rootless will also prohibit administrators from accessing certain types of important data and engineers from Cupertino say that the system could put an end to the development of jailbreak solutions.

iOS 9 iCloud Drive will be improved this year by Apple, the American company, those from CUpertino are preparing a new data encryption system during transfers, improving at the same time the transfer speeds. Both OS X 10.11 and iOS 9 will benefit from the change, with Apple transitioning its servers from an IMAP system to one based on its own software for better performance.

iOS 9 will run on iPhone 4S or iPad Mini

iOS 9 will run on iPhone 4S or iPad Mini, the two Apple products having enough performance problems in iOS 8, but those from Cupertino believe that they can offer them a better experience in iOS 9. To provide better support for these old terminals, the Apple company has restructured its team of engineers who develop iOS, with the role of finding ways to provide good performance for iOS 9 in the old terminals.

In this idea, the Apple company will no longer restrict certain functions on old terminals so that they do not have performance problems, but instead optimizes everything to run as well as possible regardless of the terminal. Basically, Apple will offer old users the opportunity to benefit from the newest functions and security improvements, all without having performance problems.

iOS 9 brings smaller apps developed through Swift

In recent years, the sizes of applications have grown without stopping, so that some games end up occupying up to 2 GB of space in terminals, and those from Apple intend to solve the problem using Swift. The reduction of application sizes is also based on the desire of those from Apple to offer better performance for old terminals, which we talked about previously, so this change will be intensively promoted in Cupertino.

In order to convince even more developers to develop applications in Swift, the Apple company will natively implement the libraries of the new programming language in iOS and OS X, the applications developed using it will be smaller and consume fewer resources.

All these news will be presented by the Apple company on June 8 in the opening conference of WWDC 2015, iOS 9 beta 1 will be released then.
